We believe that:

Polygamy is deeply destructive to society with a profound impact on women’s rights and children’s well being.

Polygamy is inherently abusive, marriage is about equity, and there is no equity in a polygamous marriage.

We observe courts dismissing polygamy charges, provinces recognizing polygamy in family law and law schools recommending that polygamy become legal.

We believe that if we do nothing, then the evil of polygamy could be on every corner across the nation.

We, the undersigned, ask the Prime Minister to lead the federal government to do everything in its power to stop polygamy from becoming legalized in Canada. Therefore, we take action in signing this petition to stop polygamy!
