We believe that the Censorship Board is Illegal:

As put forth by by Konrad von Finckenstein, Chairman, Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission:

“…The CRTC does not mandate or dictate programming, “

“ The Act also directs the CRTC to respect freedom of expression, as guaranteed by the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.”

• We object to the censorship of free speech.
• We believe that everyone has the right to his or her opinion.
• We oppose the action of the CRTC and the CBSC taken against anyone who may express their opinion.
• We believe that the censorship board is acting in an illegal manner.

We the undersigned are concerned with the enforcement of censorship in this country by the Canadian Broadcast standards council. We are also concerned with the gross violation of our Charter Rights when the CBSC rules against a show like Word TV. Therefore we the undersigned petition the CBSC to reverse their decision against Word TV and stop coming against our Charter Rights of freedom of religion, expression, and of the Press.
