1. What is CEPF?
The Children’s Emergency Protection Fund (CEPF) is a program from Canada Christian College/Institute for Canadian Values, a registered charity in Canada. CEPF helps children who are struggling with the problem of hunger, poverty, and child abuse. CEPF helps children regardless of religion, race, language, or culture.
2. What is CEPF mission?
The mission of CEPF is to provide both short term and long term support to children through various organizations committed to helping them live free from poverty, hunger and sexual abuse
3. What does CEPF do?
CEPF is focusing on helping children with the problem of hunger, poverty, and sexual abuse. Together with its partners and sponsors, CEPF provides nutritious breakfasts for children. CEPF believes that children should not go to school without having nutritious breakfasts. CEPF is also helping poor children to have proper education so that in the long term they will be able to live decent lives. CEPF is fighting against the exploitation of children. CEPF is trying to protect the rights of children across Canada from being sexually abused. CEPF believes that a serious sentence needs to be regulated against child molesters.
4. When did CEPF start its programs?
The Children’s Emergency Protection Fund started to operate in the beginning of 2009.
5. From whom does CEPF get its funding?
CEPF gets its funding from Canadian individuals, companies, organizations, and foundations that have a similar focus for helping children who are struggling with the problem of hunger, poverty and sexual abuse.
6. Where is the headquarter of CEPF located?
The headquarter of CEPF is located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
7. Why do I need to support CEPF?
Children are precious. They are our future. We need to do everything we can to help protect our children, and to allow them the opportunity to reach their full potential.
8. Can we get help from CEPF? How?
Y”Yes, you can. Please fill up the application form for CEPF to review. Once the application is approved, CEPF will notify the applicants about how much the fund will provide and when they will receive it.
Note: Applications should only be submitted by organizations, groups, or foundations that have already been providing programs that help children. The organizations, groups, or foundations who are applying must have accountability both financially and operationally. They should be governed predominantly by volunteers and part-time workers. CEPF does not providing funding for organizations, groups, or foundations that are receiving funds from government. Organizations, groups, or foundations that are granted to receive funding from CEPF must submit a written report, in detail, on how they are using the funds from CEPF.
